Founder of Local Guides Turkiye in Turkey

This is a personal, Turkey-based project. The goal is not to sound like a tourism brochure; it is to make the trip easier to plan.

Editorial point of view

Travel advice should reduce stress, not add tabs.

I built Local Guides Türkiye because planning a Turkey trip from the outside can feel surprisingly hard. Distances look smaller than they are, airport choices matter, taxi rules vary, and the best day often depends on local timing more than on another top-ten list.

We focus on money, safety, route order, transport, neighborhoods, ancient sites, food, and the small details that make or break a first trip. The voice should feel like a local friend who is honest enough to say when something is beautiful, overrated, crowded, or simply not worth the detour.

Local tips over filler

Route reality checks, scam warnings, and timing advice you cannot copy from a generic travel list.

Prices are ranges, not promises

When we cite costs, we keep them approximate and tell you where to confirm, because seasons and inflation move fast.

Updated means reviewed

Last updated dates are used for guides we have actually touched, not cosmetic year bumps.
